Colombia: Tumbaga Sugarcane Decaf
Colombia: Tumbaga Sugarcane Decaf
Yup, we now have decaf. No, we weren't bullied. Nor did we lose a bet, nor are we compromising on quality. This coffee tastes really good. Present, but not overwhelming flavors of bakers chocolate and molasses make this coffee pleasant to drink, especially at the end of a long day.
This coffee comes from a number of farms in Colombia and undergoes the EA Sugarcane Decaffeination process, in which a naturally occurring compound (ethyl acetate, drawn from sugar) is added to water. The coffee beans are introduced to this bath which draws out the caffeine. This organic process leaves the coffee with it's robust flavors to be brewed for you to drink. Bags are 10 ounces and available whole bean or ground.
